Designed by Ned Steinberger, the Steinberger Synapse is a hybrid instrument that combines the physical and sonic qualities of graphite with the warmth and beauty of wood. At the heart of every Steinberger is the Cybrosonic™ neck, featuring a graphite channel placed inside a 3-piece maple neck. The fingerboard is made of phenolic, a material that provides comfort and durability, while the neck joint is neck-thru for fantastic sustain and incredible stability.
The pickups are EMG 81 and EMG 85 active, made in USA: the sound generated is rich, full-bodied and versatile. Other features include the zero-fret nut, designed for better intonation, the new Steinberger Combo string block – which allows you to mount regular strings – and the DoulbleBall™ bridge with direct-pull (40:1) tuners.
Also included in the price is a Steinberger Gig Bag with excellent padding, making this instrument great even for the musician who has to travel.
