The Billy Sheehan Drive pedal was developed by EBS in close collaboration with Billy himself. It is based on the concept of mixing together a clean signal with a distorted one to preserve low frequencies and find the right balance between distortion and definition. The Billy Sheehan Drive offers unlimited possibilities for pre-post mix sound shaping, thanks to the presence of a Loop Clean and a Loop Drive to insert any other effect you want within the unit. The ability to add compressor allows you to keep note differentiation clearly audible even with heavily distorted sounds. There are three compression modes available, High, Mid and Off. For the Mid setting there is an additional internal control to set its “Ratio” parameter and an additional potentiometer to set the Level. An additional internal trimmer also allows the Threshold compression threshold to be set.
