Fender achieved great success in 1993 with its “Tweed” series amplifiers. The concept behind the operation was: what would happen if a great collectible amp from the 1950s, such as a ’50s Deluxe or a Bassman , was modified with channel switching and reverb? Here is the Reissue Blues Deluxe-a vintage-style tube amp with a boutique sound and an incredible price tag, which many professionals have used for rock, country, and blues with excellent results. Like its newer cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, it has many modern features, and many pros request it for its warm sound, unique circuitry, and look so true to the original versions. The Reissue Blues Deluxe develops 40 watts on a 12-inch Special Design Eminence cone thanks to two 6L6 power amps and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Its two channels, Normal (with bright switch) and Drive, are ideal for classic blues, country and rock sounds; other features include Fender spring reverb the effects loop and two-button footswitch. The winning look consists of tweed upholstery, “crow’s beak” potentiometers and a chrome-plated panel.
