The GE300 is Mooer’s flagship multi-effects processor. Combining the well-known Micro Preamp series, Tone Capture instrument profiling technology, three-voice polyphonic synthesis module, and a wide range of guitar effects and instruments, the GE300 embellishes every single creative motif from your mind with detail and rich nuance. The GE300 contains 108 digital amplifier models based on Mooer’s nonlinear modeling technology, 164 effects to cover every need, and 43 kick drum simulations, and there will be pre-installed environments with a full IR Loader attached to use Impulse Response reaching a sampling depth of up to 2048 points.
Mooer also has another very special treat: the juiciest new feature of the GE300 is the synth engine, that is, a three-voice polyphonic synthesis module that allows the use of electronic sounds without structural changes to the instrument or purely dedicated hardware, and each voice has options for waveform, pitch, filters and arpeggiators. On the purely guitar side, however, the treat is the Tone Capture system that was already used in 2018 with the Live preamp.
This is a small system for profiling a real amp, from the preamp to the microphone that picks up the kick drum, you can then save everything to an IR file. Although the GE300 is a rather complex machine, built around two Sharc DSP chips and an NXP crossover processor, it brings with it a user interface directly derived from the GE200 that demonstrated very simple programming. The rest of the equipment includes, as we might expect from a modern multi-effect, USB control, external switch capability, and loops of up to 30 minutes.
