96kHz DSP processors help concentrate the DZR’s considerable output power into truly high-resolution sound with extremely low latency. Yamaha’s newly developed Advanced FIR-X Tuning significantly enhances Yamaha’s proprietary FIR-X Tuning technology that uses linear phase FIR filters for the crossover network and corrects equalization. By using FIR filters, Yamaha is able to achieve a very smooth frequency response for exceptional sharpness and sound imaging without phase distortion.
Accurate EQ filtering is also available for extremely fine tuning and achieving ideal sharpness and top-of-the-line SPLs without signal degradation. A built-in LCD screen allows users to easily navigate through the various DSP functions, load presets and make precise adjustments to PEQ, delay and routing. Store up to 8 user presets to save parameter adjustments, or use dedicated factory presets optimized to use the DZR and DXS XLF series in combination.
Users can easily transfer saved settings to a USB flash drive. Employing many of the same protection features used in high-end professional amplifiers, Yamaha’s state-of-the-art DSP constantly monitors the status of power supplies, power amplifiers, transducers and signal levels to protect each component to maintain optimum performance and extend component life and usability. All DZR loudspeakers and DXS XLF subwoofers are available in “D” models equipped with Dante, which enables intelligent system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices via Dante I/O (2 in / 2 out) that also features SRC (sample rate conversion) enabling device compatibility at 48kHz .
