The Gibson ES-335 Figured is the perfect blend of form and function. Made with a thermally engineered maple center block and quartersawn Adirondack spruce bracing, guitarists will be impressed by the lightweight feel and expanded range of tonal capabilities. Featuring high-end finishes such as hand-wired Gibson control unit with orange teardrop capacitors, new Gibson T-type calibrated humbucking pickups, Deluxe-style tuners, and lightweight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and stop bar tailpiece anchored with steel casters.
AAA figured maple is embellished with stunning high-gloss finishes including 1960s Cherry, Antique Natural and Iced Tea. The Tune-o-matic ABR-1 bridge was designed by legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard of simplicity and functionality that has never been bettered. The ABR-1 is inserted directly into the body of the guitar using a separate pin and wheel, providing a stable position for the strings and allowing players to adjust pitch and string height in minutes. It also produces a great union between the strings and the body, resulting in excellent sound and vintage sustain.
