Carlos Santana’s long creative collaboration with Paul Reed Smith has been instrumental in shaping the destiny of PRS guitars. Over the years, PRS has honored this alliance by offering variations on his signature model. The Santana Retro pays homage to the early “Pre-Factory” guitars that Paul built for Carlos in the early 1980s. Several unique design elements have been reintroduced on this model, including a deeper body cutaway, an original-style heel, and the original headstock shape and nut placement.
