With the new edition of the Gibson Dove Original VCS guitar, the American manufacturer Gibson expands its Original series with an all-solid electro-acoustic guitar featuring an authentic 1960s look, complete with the characteristic pickguard engraved with a dove. Featuring a spruce top, the all-solid Dove produces a very bright sound, particularly powerful in the midrange, with a fast, bass-rich response thanks to the integrated maple body. A thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and X-bracing enhance the instrument’s strong vibrational characteristics and allow for a fast, clean sound development with minimal effort. The 3-piece neck features a rosewood fingerboard. With a mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlay, it offers a very smooth feel thanks to a 43.8 mm radius and allows the player generous access to all 20 frets. The large headstock and Gibson lettering perfectly complement the overall look, and, with the chrome Gotoh tuners used, it fully embodies the spirit of the 1960s.
