The Tommy Emmanuel models feature a mother-of-pearl inlay at the 12th fret, engraved with “C.G.P.” The acronym stands for “Certified Guitar Player,” a title bestowed upon Tommy by Chet Atkins and held by only three other guitarists in the world: John Knowles, Jerry Reed, and Steve Warriner.
To meet the needs of such a talented musician, an exceptional guitar is required. Designed in collaboration with the great guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, the TE Series guitars are an extraordinary tribute to Tommy’s musical skill and Maton’s masterful craftsmanship. Built to Tommy’s specifications, the TE Series delivers the powerful sound and performance expected of a guitar bearing his name.
Tommy seeks a guitar with superb tone, capable of both the most delicate expression and the fiercest attack. The neck must remain sturdy despite the rigors of international travel, and the guitar must deliver optimal performance—from Rome to Nashville to Sydney. Tommy has made Australia proud, and we are honored that he continues to use Maton as his guitar of choice.
