By transferring these characteristics, typical of Revv amps, to a pedal, the G2 is not only an excellent boost/overdrive, but can also be used as a tone enhancer when always on in front of a clean amp, or simply to achieve those classic old-school high-gain sounds. The true value of the Revv G2 lies in its versatility. Although its tonal focus is designed for blues, country, and classic rock sounds, it performs best as a boost in a stack with the nastier G3 and G4 for even greater flexibility.
