Tone Hammer 700 is Aguilar Amplification’s head that joins, alongside the 350 and 500, the popular Tone Hammer series of amplifiers. Thanks to the preamplifier, already used in the popular Tone Hammer D.I. preamp, the new TH 700 enjoys ample flexibility in timbre management, and thanks to its low weight, only 2.2 kg with an impressive 700 watts of power, it is among the most versatile heads a bass player could wish for. 700 continuous watts at 4 and 2.67 Ohms, 350 watts at 8 Ohms, Tone Hammer 700 offers the ability to manage your own sound with controls on bass, midrange and treble. With the Mid Freq pot you can also select the midrange on which to operate. The Drive control uses Aguilar’s patented AGS circuit that adds slight distortion and punch to the midrange. Tone Hammer 700 also features send and return, XLR balanced output, two speakon outputs on the rear panel, and, also on the rear, tuner output. You’ll have the ability to apply a -10dB pad for active instruments, select pre and post for the balanced line out, apply ground lift if needed, and, with the mute button, detach and attach your bass seamlessly.
