The VJB 3/4 Sunburst is the small-scale 4-string electric bass from Eko Guitars’ “Tribute Starter” series. Inspired by the legendary Jazz Bass, it features Poplar body, Maple neck and 21-fret Eko WPC resin fingerboard, with a scale length of 761mm. It mounts two JB pickups with separate Volume and 1 tone controls. Ideal for youngsters and children who need smaller sizes to reach every position, and who want the typical jazz bass style and sound.
The “Tribute Starter” series was created to offer the opportunity for all guitarists and bassists, especially beginners, to have an instrument with features similar to guitar and bass models that have made music history. Thanks to the fantastic price/performance ratio, these budget instruments easily succeed in satisfying the idea and desire to play a classically designed instrument. JB’s single-coil pickup configuration allows you to range from the nasal, richly tipped sound characteristic of the bridge pickup to a warmer, enveloping tone characteristic of the neck pickup. By using the two pickups simultaneously you can achieve roundness and fullness in the low frequencies, mixed with a present midrange and crystal clear highs.
