Neck: 21″ scale, bolt-on Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard; Kala logo and frog inlay on headstock.
Frets: 22 narrow frets.
Body: Poplar double cutaway body with treble cutaway to 20th fret. Strings mount from the rear.
Finish: Gloss sunburst finish. The back of the neck is ‘satined’ – basically rubbed down with 0000-grade steel wool, an easy effect to maintain.
Hardware/electronics: Black Hipshot licensed tuners, polyurethane strings, rosewood nut. Shadow active pickup system with volume and 2-band tone controls.
Playability/Action: Plays well and the light weight and short scale – 21″ – makes this usable in many places a full size bass just wouldn’t fit.
