The Istanbul cymbal name was founded by two craftsmen named Mehmet Tamdeger and Agop Tomurcuk. with over three decades of experience in Cymbal manufacturing, the two named their company after one of the high quality houses. Many of their original cymbals are now collector’s items, but the new range is affordable for modern drummers to add to their set-up. These cymbals are still handmade in Istanbul, Turkey, following the history and traditions that date back to the early 17th century.
