The Katana MkII takes the acclaimed Katana series of guitar amplifiers to the next level, turbocharging the basic platform with more sounds, more effects, and more features. New tone variations are now available for all five “Amp Characters,” doubling the sound options. The internal effects categories have been expanded from three to five, and offer an even wider choice of real-time processing.
Usage possibilities also improve, with an input in the power amp for modelers and multi-effects, simplified stereo expansion for two-amp setups, updated software editor, and many more improvements. Katana MkII’s five main sound characters cover from vintage organic sounds to modern high-gain timbres, along with a dedicated voice optimized for electrified acoustic guitar. Now the characters have been extended with new timbral variations, and offer a wider palette of sound options to bring your personal sound to life. Katana MkII now includes five categories of simultaneous effects, putting the power of a large pedalboard inside from the amp.
The independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections are factory set with three variations each, giving you 15 effects to choose from. Plug in the BossTone Studio and you have in-depth editing to customize the sections with over 60 different types of effects, changing the order with four different concatenations, and many more options.
