1968 was a transitional year for Fender amplifiers, which retained the traditional tone but featured a gaudy egg look, characterized by a silver front panel and aluminum mesh.
The Princeton Reverb has always been a perfect amplifier, in size and power, for both group and studio use. On a technical level, this version features a modified circuit that adds versatility by making it easier to send the amp into overdrive.
Its 12W of power is generated two 6V6 Groove Tube™ tubes, three 12AX7 preamps, a 12AT7 and a 10″ Celestion® TEN 30 cone. The sound is classic Fender tone: you can get classic crystal clear and defined Fender cleans, or “Fat” and overdrive sounds perfect for Blues and Rock, and with the second channel you can push yourself to more aggressive sounds.
Rounding out this wonderful amp are spring reverb and tube vibrato, selectable on a separate channel.
