Designed in the 1920s the resophonic guitar is also known as the dobro guitar. Easily recognized by the unmistakable technology developed to bring the guitars volume to rival that of others in bands of the time. The resonator guitar, in fact was made to be heard even among instruments such as banjos, mandolins, horns, and drums. The Bryce Dobro5 EQ is the electrified version of the classic acoustic resonator guitar, but with an aggressive design with mahogany neck, spruce top, single cone resonator, internal pickup and chrome hardware.
