The EVO series takes its name from the contraction of the word EVO(lection), and carries with it the “genetic” code of the MIA series, the most successful Eko guitars in recent years. The MIA Series has certainly changed the perception of the EKO brand in the guitar world, transforming it from a brand considered a manufacturer of guitars for beginners, to a manufacturer of guitars in the hands of great artists and professionals.
The EVO Series represents a further step forward, offering guitars whose features focus on the close relationship between the musician and his instrument. Open-pore finishes, in this case, leave the musician’s contact and feeling with the wood intact. The reduced body thickness provides a comfortable feel when playing. The 3 stages of wood maturation make these instruments extremely light and resonant, with a warm and deep sound, thanks in part to the use of Cedar for the Top and Mahogany for the Bottom and Frets. The Nut has been increased to 45mm, to facilitate Fingerstyle techniques. The tuning fork, on the other hand, is different for different models.
