The 714ce offers Taylor’s popular and versatile Grand Auditorium body, and incorporates a compelling rosewood/spruce combination, with Lutz spruce instead of Sitka. Together with Taylor’s performance baracing and sound-enhancing protein glues, guitarists can expect a bold, dynamic tone that balances the natural brilliance of rosewood harmonics, giving this and other 700 series guitars a musical personality with a wide musical range. The musical character is accompanied by an aesthetic rooted in Americana style and finished with Taylor detailing. The mocha coloring of the rosewood is complemented by rich wood finishes, with Hawaiian Koa binding, a herringbone Douglas fir rosette with maple/black accents, Douglas fir top, and a “weathered brown” pickguard design with a leather-like pattern. Other features include a Venetian cutaway and Taylor ES2 preamp/pickup.
