These elegantly designed guitars derive from the Big Band era. They originally had a dual task: the chords served as the musical basis for the band and, as a rhythm instrument, they also had to be heard when the drums and large horn section played. Combining the large body size with maple ribs and back achieved both power and sound penetration. The spruce top complements the equipment by providing a traditional warm tone. The La Salle series provides the character and performance of those great instruments in a more modern version. All details, from the F-hole, to the fretboard finish, to the shape of the pickguard, respect the original spirit of those great guitars.
