The G5420T Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Single-Cut with Bigsby features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined bows, plus all-new bracing to reduce unwanted feedback. By increasing the rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, the new “trestle block” design makes the sound have a faster attack with more focus, snap, and increased sustain. Coupled with the all-new FT-5E Filter’Tron pickups, the sound of this hollow explodes with tremendous punch, classic tone, and increased note presence, sharpness, and definition.
A new “C”-shaped classic maple neck offers a more comfortable feel for better playability, and is topped with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard.
Vivid and resonant, the G5420T also features a versatile control layout that includes main volume with treble dampening circuit, main tone, individual pickup volume controls and three-position pickup toggle switch, oversized F-holes, multilayer binding, G6120 late 1950s bound headstock, vintage-style open-back tuners, Graph Tech NuBone capo, pearlized Neo-Classic inlays, Adjusto-Matic bridge, and Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece.
