The new Gibson Les Paul Modern incorporates many contemporary updates that guitarists have embraced such as lighter bodies and slim tapered necks with asymmetrical profiles. The Modern fingerboard is made of real ebony and a compound radius for a lower, cleaner action. The neck/body joint features a new contoured heel for easy access to the higher frets, as well as maximum sustain and stability. Hardware upgrades include Rotomatic Grover locking tuners, clear knobs, and BurstBucker Pro and BurstBucker Pro+ pickups. The control unit features 4 push-pull pots to switch between Gibson and P90 single-coil humbucker sounds, both of which have defined so many musical genres across multiple generations since they were invented, phase switching and pure-bypass for functionality and sonic versatility.
