The maple top will give you a completely different sound than you’d normally get from a rosewood one. It has a bright, snappy sound and gives an amazing sharpness to your notes, even when you use a bit of gain.
The back of the neck is incredible to play thanks to the satin finish. Your hands will fly up and down the neck without your grip being hindered by a shiny, sweaty finish.
The pickups on this guitar are based on the incredible 85/15 pickups that have recently been used in all of the models in the American Core line. Paul Reed Smith said these would be the perfect pickups in 1985 because they are warm enough to provide versatile saturated sounds, but they can also clean up beautifully. They offer crystal clear definition, minus the harsh treble frequencies.
Made in South Korea, these guitars are built to the highest possible standards and are checked for defects down to the smallest detail before they even reach the UK. This level of precision means that the guitars will go on for years and years even if they spend most of their lives on the road.
