The PRS CE was originally introduced in 1988 and joins the SE Series for the first time for 2024.
The Paul Reed Smith SE CE 24 offers the combination of the features of an SE Custom 24 to the uniqueness of an instrument with “bolt-on” construction and a maple neck. Importantly, the CE 24 is not a “cheaper” version, but a deliberately different instrument: the bolt-on maple neck gives the tone a more pronounced attack.
The pickups are a pair of 85/15 “S” pickups that can offer a wide range of sounds, thanks in part to the ability to be split via push/pull controls on the tone control.
