Schecter took the requests and demands of guitarists and set to work to bring to life instruments that, musicians and enthusiasts alike, have always wanted. From aesthetic details such as flamed tops, to pickups with exposed coils, to technical imperatives such as an even better performing bridge – the Gotoh 510, and it has rounded it all off by adding an idea, a spice of its own, giving birth to the ultimate expression of R66 guitars. As always intended exclusively for Italy.
The biggest new feature of the new R66 Series is the Elite Switch, a gift to those who are always looking beyond: a classic selector switch capable of selecting up to 14 pickup configurations, allowing all possible sounds in one guitar.
The switch’s impact on the aesthetics of the guitar is zero. No additional toggles or buttons, just the classic five-position selector switch, which gains five more by acting vertically on the toggle, to 14 sounds using the bridge humbucker split.
