Acoustic Design alder body
The PACS+11S is built around a three-piece alder body refined using Yamaha’s Acoustic Design technology. By analysing resonance characteristics during development, Yamaha optimises body thickness, chambering, and material balance to improve sustain, dynamic response, and tonal consistency. Alder provides a clear, balanced foundation with strong mids and controlled lows, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The result is a guitar that feels lively and responsive even before amplification, supporting clean articulation and driven tones without uneven frequency spikes or dead spots.
Reflectone pickups and Focus Switch control
Reflectone pickups were developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs to prioritise clarity, articulation, and musical balance. The neck humbucker delivers warmth and fullness while maintaining definition, making it ideal for smooth lead lines and layered chords. The bridge single-coil provides focused attack and crisp detail for rhythm work. A three-way selector keeps operation intuitive, while the push-pull Focus Switch reshapes the bridge pickup’s response for a tighter, more forward sound, expanding tonal flexibility without complicating the control layout.
Comfortable neck profile and stainless steel fretwork
A rounded C-profile maple neck with a smooth satin finish offers a consistent, comfortable feel across the full length of the neck. The 12-inch radius fingerboard strikes a balance between relaxed chord playing and controlled bending, reducing hand strain while maintaining accuracy. Medium jumbo stainless steel frets provide excellent durability and a slick playing surface, resisting wear and corrosion over time. This combination ensures stable intonation, smooth vibrato, and dependable playability.

Premium hardware supports tuning stability and consistent performance. Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning accuracy and reduce string slippage, while speeding up string changes. The compensated three-saddle brass bridge enhances intonation, sustain, and string-to-string balance, adding warmth and clarity to the overall tone. A Graph Tech TUSQ nut ensures smooth tuning and consistent string response. Supplied with a gig bag, the PACS+11S is a practical, professional instrument designed for reliability, tone, and long-term performance.
