GX-100 delivers absolute quality sound and all the natural feel of a tube amplifier in any situation, thanks to AIRD technology, based on our Tube Logic approach. AIRD is in the DNA of all GX-100 guitar and bass amplifiers, while AIRD Output Select types allow you to tailor the perfect sound for any destination, whether it’s the input of an amp, FRFR monitor, or house PA. A wide selection of internal speakers is also available, along with slots to import your own IR speakers via USB.
With over 150 absolute quality effects from Boss’s extensive library, you can make any sound you can imagine with the GX-100. Numerous overdrives and distortors are available, along with Boss classics such as Slow Gear, Octave, and many more. Also available are a wide range of modulation, delay, and reverb effects, along with many bass-optimized effects. And with send/return jacks you can integrate your favorite pedals or your amp’s effects loop into the GX-100’s ecosystem.
The GX-100 provides you with 100 preset memories to start playing from the get-go. But it’s easy to modify them for your needs, or build new ones from scratch. Unleash your imagination with 15 types of dedicated blocks, including two amp blocks, and chain effects in series and parallel to create all kinds of sonic variations. And with 200 user memories, you can save sounds internally to cover any song or style. Sound creation and real-time editing are easier than ever with the GX-100. The color touch display offers intuitive control of patch and effect selection, parameter editing, signal chain adjustments, and more. The display works in synergy with the four knobs and page buttons on the panel, providing a rewarding experience that lets you stay focused on the music.
GX-100 offers extensive real-time control with eight customizable footswitches and an expression pedal with a switch on the tip. They are already configured for patch/bench selection and specific patch control, but you can freely reassign them to meet your unique needs. Switching to Manual mode gives you direct “stompbox-style” control, and you can go further with external control via footswitch, an expression pedal or via MIDI. There is also a socket for remote control of amplifier channel selection with memory selection or an assigned footswitch.
In addition to stage use, GX-100 is also a USB audio interface for recording and playing with a computer. You can record directly to music production software, re-amp tracks and perform monitoring via the GX-100’s outputs. The headphone jack allows you to practice wherever and whenever you want, while the internal looper is perfect for jamming, developing sounds and ideas, and expanding your creativity as you play.
Using Boss Tone Studio for macOS and Windows you can edit every parameter of the GX-100, save sounds, and organize Live Sets for different shows from your computer. And with the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, you can wirelessly adjust settings during gigs via the Boss Tone Studio app on your mobile device and stream background music from your device’s library.
