This Red Distortion/Boost Bogner Ecastasy pedal offers a 3-band, 5-phase Class A Gain graphic EQ that are used without amps or diode clipping, mirroring the exact circuitry of the infamous Ecstasy amp.
This pedal doesn’t cater to one style or the other – it caters to anything that requires incredibly rich distortion and leaves the rest up to you. In addition to a full equalizer, you’ll find four mini alternators along the top. “Variac” controls the feel of the distortion rather than the sound of the distortion. Turn it on for a softer, spongy response with more natural compression. “Mode” controls that EQ frequencies are amplified. The “Pre EQ” switch controls the upper range harmonics, and the “Structure” switch lets you select various Ecstasy amp eras and models. Even at its highest gain settings, this pedal is still distinctly musical. You’ll never lose touch sensitivity and you’ll always hear subtle changes in attack pickup.
