Andy Timmons’ mysterious “Halo” effect is a modulated double echo that has long been kept secret by the sound wizard himself. Andy has spent decades combining and creating the sounds you can now get from Halo. The notes of the Halo dance rhythmically, creating almost a reverb-like spread. These notes are held together by tape-style effects such as modulation, saturation, and compression.
The results are stunning. The pedal comes equipped with its signature delay sound, and you can program the sounds and save them as presets. It bounces on the fly between Side A and Side B, essentially giving you two delay pedals in one. In addition to Andy’s signature “Halo” sound, there are numerous other rhythmic delays including: half-rhythm, dotted eighth, analog stereo rack-mount delay, and a vintage multi-head tape echo. The outstanding stereo, pristine sound quality is further enhanced with controls for saturation, tone and shelving filters that offer the most from a delay pedal.
