Moog Music’s new ‘Z’ is a fully analog delay up to 1000 msec. A full second of analog delay time makes the MF-104Z the longest analog standalone delay module on the market. This is exciting, but the main reason users have long been asking Moog to build (again) a delay is because of the unmistakable sound, quality, and flexibility of this new Moogerfooger. The MF-104Z sounds fantastic and, like all Moogerfoogers, has controls that allow you to tweak the sound in all those different ways only possible with a Moogerfooger.
Features:
Drive and Output Levels that allow you to set the Z to suit the type of signal you want to delay, from low-level signals (vocals, guitar) to louder signals (mixer output, electronic drums).
The Z is designed to work with everyone.
Delay time: from just under 50 msec to just over 1000 msec.
Mix: Pot Control from fully Dry to fully Wet or anywhere in between.
Feedback Control mixes a portion of the delayed signal with the instrument signal. Feedback control can generate a single echo, sustained echo, or echoes that are added randomly.
Switchable Internal Loop/External Loop select the feedback path. In the Internal Loop position the feedback path goes directly from the delay output back to the input. In the External Loop position the feedback path goes through the Loop Out jack and the Loop In jack. This provides an opportunity to insert signal processing into the feedback path, thus allowing echo processing as it is generated. Very interesting using another Moogerfooger (amazing with the MuRF).
Loop Gain controls the level of the signal applied to the Loop In jack when “External Loop” is active.
Input:
Audio In
Feedback Amount, Delay Time and Wet/Dry Mix. Each of these can be controlled by an expression pedal.
Output:
Mix Out and Delay Out – The Output level on the front panel adjusts the levels of the direct and delay signals passing into the Mix Out and Delay Out.
Loop In and Loop Out – see above Switchable Internal Loop/External Loop.
