With XT-1, your guitar will sound like the guitars of your dreams. Using proprietary Smart Tone Shaping (STS) technology, XT-1 can learn (i.e., profile) the sound characteristics of each guitar and shape them to perfectly reproduce the sound of any other electric or acoustic guitar, and without latency and digital artifacts. Choose your favorite guitar from the included presets-for example, a 1973 LesPaul Custom or a Musicman Axis, or access the sound library on SIM1’s website, which already includes many modeling. XT-1 can also model acoustic guitars perfectly. For example, with your Fender Stratocaster you can faithfully reproduce a Martin D35 or a Gibson J200. XT-1’s Smart Tone Shaping learning procedure consists of recording an ascending chromatic scale with your guitar, starting with the first open string (note E) and creating a progression of 6 notes per string. In this way the sound characteristics of your guitar will be stored within XT-1 as a Source Guitar. Based on the characteristics of a Source Guitar, XT-1 can shape the sound to achieve exactly the sounds of the desired guitar called Target Guitar. XT-1 supports guitars equipped with up to 3 pickups. XT-1 features a large display, three switches to access every function-including true bypass mode-and a USB port to back up settings and add new guitar sounds.
