The classic sound of those old rotary speaker systems may have life as an effect designed for the electric organ, but guitarists have always pushed the envelope when it comes to finding new tones. They soon discovered that plugging in a guitar and turning up the cabinet’s tube amps created a surprisingly smooth and dynamic overdrive sound, one that has been immortalized in a host of classic rock recordings. The Vibraclone Rotary’s Drive knob lets you adjust the same sustain as a sweetly rich, organic tube amp, accompanied by the lush modulation of a rotary speaker. You can choose between the slow, rich Chorale setting or the fast, almost watery Tremolo setting, just like the original. Turn the Speed knob to adjust the delayed response from the pedal, which simulates the acceleration/deceleration of the speaker cone – again, just like the real instrument.
