Nord Stage 3 represents the fifth generation of the renowned Stage series, and employs all of NORD’s latest proprietary technology, such as the sound generation system of the Nord Lead A1, to which is added the ability to read samples, or C2D physical modeling for electromagnetic organ reproduction; with an even improved Piano section, and effects of the highest quality. All brought together and optimized into an outstanding Live Performance instrument.
Nord Stage 3 has an exceptional selection of piano sounds: grand, upright, electric, digital, clavinet, and harpsichord drawn from the exclusive Nord Piano Library, all carefully selected for their unique timbral character, plus an entirely new “Layer” category with rich and dynamic supporting timbres. The same sophisticated sampling technology already successfully applied on Nord Piano 3 was used on this section, which can accurately reproduce all the finest nuances, and timbral character of the original instrument. In addition, Advanced String Resonance and Dynamic Pedal Noise were naturally implemented, capable of adding an exceptional level of realism and expressiveness to the sound.
The synt section of Nord Stage 3 has the same powerful analog physical modeling sound synthesis system as Lead A1, featuring the characteristic analog warmth, and the brilliant “Smart Oscillator Configurations” function that enables outstanding timbral results with minimal programming effort.
The Oscillator Set Up in “Single” mode includes: Shape, FM, Ring Mod, Detune and Sync, while the Oscillator Set Up in “Dual” mode includes: Noise, Sine, Saw, Triangle and Square Mix. The Synth section also features a new “Super Waves” waveform category.
