Nord Stage 4 has a new panel design with dedicated LED faders for each Layer, this allows an even clearer and more immediate overview of operational status, also improving versatility in sound creation and Live performances. There is also an extensive preset library with immediately ready-to-use piano, synth and organ sounds of great use for creating your own personal patches even faster. The entire instrument operates in Seamless Transition mode, i.e., without annoying pauses or interruptions in changing Programs allowing performances to always be smooth and continuous. Layer Scene allows switching between two different timbral configurations at the touch of a button, while the powerful, completely revamped effects section combined with pedal functions allows for a higher level of musical expressiveness.
Nord Stage 4 88 comes with a new, even richer sound library of grand pianos, Uprights and Electric Pianos selected from the exclusive Nord Piano Library implemented with new features such as dynamic compression and Unison mode.
This section allows Layer between two sounds as with Nord Piano 5, and it is then possible to create even very complex Stack sounds by superimposing 2 piano sounds of various types with each other: Acoustic and Electric, Upright with Digital, etc. in the personal combination you prefer.
The Synth section with its three independent Layers is based on Nord Wave 2’s versatile Synth Engine, including Virtual Analog, Samples, FM and Digital Waves synthesis.
An extensive new sample collection from the Nord Sample Library offers a wide sound palette of Strings, Bass, Choruses, Guitars and more. The advanced arpeggiator has Polyphonic, Gate and Pattern modes and can be used for a wide variety of rhythmic applications with customizable Patterns.
The fully physically modeled Organ section uses the renowned simulations of the B3 Tonewheel, B3 Bass, Classic Vox and Farfisa, as well as two Pipe Organ models. All Stage 4 models are equipped with NORD’s new physical Drawbars with LED indicators, which are even more practical and effective.
The Nord Stage 4 features a powerful, completely revamped Effects section that offers a complete setup for each Layer. The wide range of FX includes the new Pump synchronized to BPM, the Side Chain with foot control, the new Spin and variations on the Reverb, Delay, Amps and Modulation algorithms. As is the Nord tradition all effect parameters are direct access thanks to the extended panel in perfect Analog Style, this allows you to intervene with changes every moment even while performing.
