Made in USA in 1980
Hybrid Neck: Kramer’s patented aluminum “T”-shaped core, complemented by wooden back inlays (usually maple or mahogany) to eliminate the cold-to-the-touch sensation.
“Tuning Fork” Headstock: The famous tuning fork-shaped aluminum headstock, equipped with Schaller M4 tuners.
Body: Multi-laminated “sandwich” construction with an alternating combination of fine woods such as walnut and maple.
Compared to other Kramer models, the body of the DMZ5000B features a slimmer profile and more aerodynamic double-cutaway lines.
Fingerboard: Made of Ebonol (a highly resonant and extremely smooth synthetic composite material) or natural ebony. It features 20 frets, crown-shaped mother-of-pearl position markers (exclusive to high-end models), and an aluminum nut with a zero-fret system.
Electronics Configuration (P/J): Equipped as standard with high-output passive DiMarzio pickups (a split-coil Precision-style pickup in the middle and a single-coil Jazz pickup at the bridge).
Controls: Flexible 4-knob configuration (2 Volume, 2 Tone), a 3-way pickup selector switch, and two mini-toggle switches dedicated to coil tap (series/parallel) to expand tonal options.
