Perfect Balance is the kick drum pedal developed by Jojo Mayer in collaboration with Sonor and is designed with a carefully calibrated system that optimizes the linear transmission of your foot’s movement and gives you many setting and customization possibilities. It was designed with one principle in mind that reflects one prerogative: Simplicity.
Essentially, it could be described as the soul of a vintage pedal reincarnated in 21st century technology.
LIGHTENED TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
The transmission cam and clapper attachment are cast in a single block to decrease overall mass and are carefully calibrated for perfectly balanced strokes. The round cam design creates linear acceleration, an advantage for many hybrid techniques.
SMOOTH, ELONGATED AND COMFORTABLE PLATFORM
The elongated, smooth plate adds greater stroke pressure capacity and allows a wide range of motion for ‘toe-to-toe’ or skidding techniques. The height and angle of the plate can be easily changed by adjusting the screw in the center of the drive cam.
PATENTED MOUNTING SYSTEM
Just press a button to “disassemble” the pedal and fold it back on itself for easy transport. The magnetic attachment secures the spring during transport, spectacularly extending its life. Included with the pedal is the convenient waterproof canvas bag with shoulder strap that will make the bulky cases used to date obsolete. The pedal is quickly assembled in one easy step. The clamp fits all bass drum rims.
FIBER DRIVE BELT
The fiber drive belt minimizes friction and offers a faster and smoother response than chain systems. For those who prefer it, the pedal can still be equipped with double chain.
The Allen screws, adopted in this pedal, are standard replacement parts available at any well-stocked hardware store. You will no longer need to order and wait for particular spare parts.
