It is not without reason that the Starplayer TV is our best-selling Duesenberg. The look is reminiscent of some classics from the USA. But at the latest when studying the specifications you can see that these instruments differ technically and sonically from all other instruments on the market. The 1-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is still very classic and traditional and can be played on very well. But the body with spruce top and back / sides made of laminated maple as well as the 25.5 ”scale suggest that something very independent has been created here.
The hardware and the pickups are Duesenberg’s own developments. The Diamond Deluxe tremolo works perfectly and the two pickups make the Starplayer a versatile tool. For powerful lead sounds and riffs, the Starplayer TV has a strong GrandVintage humbucker in the bridge position, while the Domino P90 on the neck is ready for airy chords and bluesy melodies.
In the middle position of both pickups, a special circuit ensures that certain frequencies are filtered out of the humbucker’s signal. This brightens the tone and creates an independent third sound.
Starplayer TV is played by many top musicians around the world and has become one of the standards of the music industry over the years.
