The SE Swamp Ash Special is an electric guitar from PRS’s SE series featuring a swamp ash body and a 22-fret maple fingerboard. This guitar is a unique offering in the growing PRS SE series, thanks to its combination of woods and three-pickup configuration: the two 85/15 “S” pickups at the bridge and neck are paired with the AS-01 “S” single-coil pickup, designed by PRS to deliver a powerful sound thanks to the use of Alnico and steel.

The SE Swamp Ash Special’s sound is versatile, thanks to its three-pickup configuration. This pickup is constructed with steel and Alnico, a combination that adds mass and helps maintain the sound.
With the push-pull tone control and 3-way selector switch, this guitar offers a versatile sound, with bright yet smooth highs, punchy lows, and a “twang” tone suitable for “hot country,” blues, and even jazz. A PRS Patented Tremolo bridge rounds out the package.
