Mike Stern’s influence on the Pacifica 1511MS is evident. The
solid ash wood body lends a traditional layout
while the maple fingerboard is contoured with 7.25″ radius. The
Mike’s famous style combines a lyrical character with the bebop genre
and with the intensity of rock, so it requires the flexibility of
modern music that the 1511’s humbucking pickup is able to
offer. The Duncan ’59 on the neck is known for its warm and
delicacy. The Hot Rails on the bridge generate a fat, hard, and
distorted sound with incredible sustain. A perfect combination for
jazz and rock.
