The CostaLab EchoLab is a classic-style delay that produces an echo effect that is a far cry from the all too precise and cold modern delay sound. The Echolab is characterized by a warm sound, deliberately darkened in the repetitions that, in their succession, give an exceptional depth, very close to the effect produced by the old tape echoes used in the songs we are most fond of. And it is precisely because of this great depth that the EchoLab allows, by adjusting it appropriately, to substitute the use of reverb, as indeed the guitar tradition of the 1970s taught us. The direct sound, on the other hand, is defined, present and respectful of your instrument’s timbre while managing to maintain an excellent attack and an energetic “beat” without haloing.
