Do you like your pedals, but hate carrying an amp to practice or play? The Strymon Iridium, with the size of a pedal, offers the tube stage, sound stack and touch response of three iconic amplifiers, each with a choice of three matching cabinets, all in a stereo line-level output that you can send directly to the FOH. No amplifier is required. The Iridium JFET Class A preamp runs your guitar and pedals just like a real tube amp. Its analog front end feeds a powerful 2-stage DSP processor that painstakingly approximates the tube bias, harmonic breakup, cone compression, and EQ interaction of some of your favorite front ends. Whether you’re playing blues through a big 1×12 Americano or lifting the roof with a high-powered British obscure, the Strymon feels and handles like your favorite stacks and combos. A preset switch gives the Iridium the functionality of a 2-channel amp for clean/dirty applications, with an additional 300 accessible via MIDI switches. Meanwhile, a front-facing headphone jack lets you monitor directly from the stage, without the need for earphones.
