The TC Electronic Flashback X4 is a versatile delay and looper pedal with TonePrint technology. The Flashback Delay X4 is a larger version of the compact Flashback model and offers 16 types of delays, ranging from tape and tube echoes to analog delays and reverse delays. There are four slots for importing TonePrint presets provided by legendary TC Electronic users such as Steve Morse. The Flashback X4 has four footswitches, three of which can be used to select presets and one is for tap-tempo. Without complicated menus, the Flashback X4’s controls are all switches and knobs. There are controls for Delay Time, Feedback, Delay Level, and Level Looper. There is a switch to activate a 40-second looper and the ability to use footswitches as Record, Play/Pause, Play Once and Undo controls. On the back of the unit, there are options for MIDI connection, USB of an expression pedal, as well as stereo Input and Output.
