Impulse 61 features backlit drum pads and full control of the DAW and available plug-ins. In addition to the precision keyboard, drum pads and full control surface, Impulse comes with the award-winning Automap software, which in an instant puts you in complete control of DAW parameters and plug-ins, both internal and third-party. The keyboard is semi-weighted with aftertouch and provides excellent touch response, while the 8 drum pads are backlit to allow you to play beats, edit arpeggios, and launch real-time clips in Ableton Live. The drum pads have 3 colors that indicate the current status of the clip they control, just like the Launchpad: a yellow pad indicates the clip is loaded, a green pad indicates the clip is playing while a red pad indicates the clip is recording. Impulse can be powered via USB or by using a USB power adapter.
