Nautilus expands the boundaries of operational and timbral possibilities of a Synth Workstation. With the power of nine sound generators, innovative approach to synthesis, large amount of sampling, MIDI & audio recording, effects, computing power. There is currently no other synthesizer that can offer more regarding timbral exploration and research, with such a logical and intuitive workflow. Korg has spent years perfecting the various aspects related to its technology-digital, analog, processing, and hardware-to provide every musician with an instrument with which he or she can get in perfect tune. The result is Nautilus that is incredibly powerful and unique.
Nine different sound generators: Beginning with SGX-2, which generates a wide selection of acoustic pianos drawing from a vast Loop-free PCM library, with all their nuances, even minute ones, articulated in 12 velocity levels, with string resonance, release noise, etc. EP-1 realistically reproduces the timbres of the most famous electric piano models. CX-3, emulates the unmistakable timbre of Tone Wheel organs. It is then joined by MOD-7 synthesis modules: VPM / FM, PolysixEX and MS-20EX for analog modeling and STR-1 for physical modeling.

ST Smooth Sound Transition: Selecting various operating modes or music resources within them causes no sound interruption. It is possible to recall various Programs or Combi, switch between Program and Combi, or even switch between Songs on the Sequencer, always maintaining sound queues and effects during changes.
Three main timbral categories: A completely new approach that sets aside all preconceptions by devising a new type of classification, one that transcends the boundaries of sampling and Sound Design.

Exclusive Sounds: Loops with musical phrases, prepared pianos, original percussion and much more. Musical phrases characteristic of rare, hard-to-find and hard-to-play instruments have been created and included in the internal sound library, which can be freely used in your music tracks, letting only your imagination guide you.

Current Sounds: More up-to-date timbres suited to the current music scene for genres such as EDM, Electro, and Chiptune. Featuring the most modern Synth, Drum Kit timbres, with special effects that also facilitate the creation of effective Beats and Grooves for Dance.

Standard Sounds: Acoustic Pianos, Electric, Guitars, Basses, and others, covering all genres. In the new acoustic piano sounds, the acoustics of the recording room have also been sampled, with the ability to personally mix the direct sound with the environment. A new electric piano model with a full-bodied timbre has been added, especially suitable for funky.

Dynamics management in time: Using the Dynamics knob you can control the changes in timbre and volume, introduced by the Velocity of the keyboard, and make these match the style required by the song at the time.

Real-time parameter editing: The six RT (Real Time) knobs allow direct editing on Program and Combi. Different functions can be assigned to each knob, such as editing timbre with Filter Cut Off, effect level. Arpeggiator or Drum Track control with Gate, tempo speed, Swing, Snare type, and more. In Combi mode you can group several timbres together, and control their volume with one knob. It is possible to press them by retracting them into the panel and locking their position.

New GUI: Completely redesigned user interface starting from the principle of always getting the best result in the shortest possible time. The addition of functions tends to increase the presence of physical controls on the panel.

TouchView color display: The nerve center of the user interface is the large (800×480 pixels) WVGA TouchView color display. It is possible to directly select a sound, parameter, and even change values with the touch of a finger (Touch Drag). A number of graphical and interactive tools are available to facilitate programming.

Polyphonic Arpeggiator and Drum Track: These modules provide effective interactive musical support to every performance, with an extensive library of rhythmic and melodic patterns. There are also 4 different scenes on which different Patterns can be set and recalled al stante.

Set List mode for Live Performance: Allows you to organize your sound resources in a personal way. Each Set List consists of 128 basic units called Slots. Each Slot can be given a name, and assigned a musical resource as needed. 128 Set Lists are immediately available.

Open Sampling System: It is capable of quickly sampling an external audio source, or resampling a performed performance regardless of the selected operating mode. The timbral possibilities offered by the very large internal Sample library are greatly expanded by the Sample User area, which, thanks to VMT (Virtual Memory Technology), allows the use of personal samples.

Sequencer 16-track MIDI & Audio Full Edit: This section has functions that stimulate musical inspiration, with the ability to record polyphonic arpeggiators, Drum Tracks or RPPRs (Realtime Pattern Play/Recording), with professional results and in a short time. The 16-track Audio Recorder captures up to 4 tracks simultaneously in 16-bit/24-bit format at 48kHz. During their playback you can add effects, resample the result and import the Wav file into a Sequencer track. There are Editing functions such as Copy, Paste, Normalize, and mixing automation.

16 Simultaneous Effects Processors: Nautilus can produce up to 16 effects simultaneously. Insert effects apply to single or multiple timbres/Tracks of a Combi or Sequencer. Master 1&2 effects can be metered for all tracks with relative sends (Send 1&2), while Total effects act globally on the entire instrument. In addition, a three-band equalizer is available for each timbre, MIDI track and Audio track of the Sequencer.

USB/MIDI ports: It is possible to connect any USB/MIDI controller directly. Using a controller such as nanoPAD, nanoPAD2, padKontrol you can play percussive parts or trigger chords in Chord mode.
